How Opvera handles account, operational, integration, and support data for restaurant teams using its website and Opvera mobile companion.

Updated October 12, 2026. This policy covers Opvera and the Opvera mobile companion, including shared location tablets.

Opvera and the Opvera app

Opvera operates the Opvera mobile companion for restaurant teams. This policy covers the Opvera website, Opvera on personal phones, shared location tablets, and connected restaurant workflows including inventory, recipes, purchasing, receiving, vendor data, POS activity, alerts, and operational analytics. Company administrators manage access and subscriptions on the website; the mobile companion has no subscription checkout.

Information we collect

We collect information you enter or connect: account name, email, contact details, company and location membership, employee names, inventory quantities and units, count times, recipes, prices, purchase and receiving records, and files or messages you submit. Authorized POS and supplier connections provide the menu, sales, product, or order information needed for the connected workflow. We also process authentication and device identifiers, activity and sync metadata, error reports, and performance diagnostics to operate and troubleshoot the service. Website billing uses subscription status and payment-processor identifiers; payment details are submitted to the payment processor.

Shared location tablets

A manager pairs a named tablet to one restaurant location and enables employees to unlock it with their PINs. We process the device identity, employee identity and PIN verification, session activity, submitted counts, and manager review decisions. Managers can review which employee and tablet submitted a count and can revoke access. The shared tablet clears the employee session when locked or backgrounded. Pairing and shared-tablet counting require an internet connection.

Photos, documents, voice, and device permissions

Camera access supports barcode scans and photos you choose to take. Photo and document selection is used when you choose an image or recipe, invoice, or receipt file. Ordinary product photos may be stored on the device; features that upload or analyze a selected file send it to the service. Microphone and speech permissions support optional voice counting. Bluetooth and nearby-device permissions support connected scales; some Android versions require a location permission for Bluetooth scanning. You can decline or revoke these permissions in device settings and use manual entry where supported.

Optional AI processing

When you choose an AI feature, the content needed for that feature is processed online. AI voice counting sends audio to OpenAI to interpret and respond to quantities. Photo and document assistance can send your selected image, document content, or operational text to OpenAI through our service. Review the feature notice before starting and confirm suggested quantities or mappings before applying them. Stopping voice counting ends that session. The voice-counting workflow does not save recordings or transcripts as count history; this does not describe or override the provider's own processing and retention terms.

Phone numbers and SMS data

Opvera may collect mobile phone numbers for operational workflows such as inventory count invites, team coordination, operational alerts, receiving/count coordination, and support. We may process SMS delivery status, opt-out status, and related message metadata so these workflows can operate reliably.

Transactional operational SMS

Opvera SMS messages are transactional and operational. Message frequency varies based on restaurant activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, START to opt back in, or HELP for help. For support, email support@ourprovision.com.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate accounts, enforce company and location access, operate counting and review workflows, calculate costs, sync authorized systems, provide onboarding and support, troubleshoot failures, and improve the product experience. An employee's access and operational activity are visible to the authorized managers of their company. We do not use the shared-tablet PIN as a marketing identifier.

Operational data

Opvera is designed to work with inventory, purchasing, vendor, POS, recipe, and analytics data. Customers should only connect systems and upload data they are authorized to use.

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell personal information or share SMS opt-in consent for third-party marketing. Service providers help deliver the features you use: Supabase provides authentication, database and file storage; Vercel hosts website and server workflows; Sentry processes error and performance diagnostics; OpenAI processes enabled AI features; and Stripe processes website billing. Email and SMS providers deliver operational and support messages. We send information needed for those functions and require service providers to protect it and use it for the services they provide. Connected POS, supplier, and accounting services also handle data under the connection you authorize and their applicable terms.

Retention and deletion

Start a request in Opvera Settings under Delete account or on our account deletion page. You do not need to send a support email to initiate it. After identity verification, the request is reviewed and processed by the Opvera operator within 30 days. The request receipt provides its status and completion date; a received request is not a completed deletion. We confirm completion after processing is verified. Personal account information and unnecessary personal attribution are removed. Continuing company records, such as inventory quantities, recipes, purchases, and receiving history, can remain with the deleted person's personal attribution removed. Account deletion is separate from deleting a company's records or canceling its subscription. If you are a sole owner, we resolve the company's ownership or closure during review. If law requires specific information to be retained, we explain the relevant records, basis, and applicable retention period during the request process.

Your choices

You can update account information where supported, ask your company administrator to change location or tablet access, stop optional voice or AI features, and change device permissions. Reply STOP to opt out of operational SMS and START to opt back in where supported. Use the account deletion flow to remove your personal account; contact support@ourprovision.com for privacy questions or help with an existing request.
